Ιερά Μητρόπολη Άκκρας - Holy Archdiocese of Accra Ghana
ΕΝΘΡΟΝΙΣΗ ΜΗΤΡΟΠΟΛΙΤΟΥ ΑΚΚΡΑΣ
Την Κυριακή 21η Απριλίου 2024, στον Καθεδρικό Ιερό Ναό Μεταμορφώσεως του Χριστού Άκκρας, πραγματοποιήθηκε η Τελετή Ενθρονίσεως του νέου Μητροπολίτου Άκκρας κ. Δανιήλ.
Η Ιερά Μητρόπολη Άκκρας του Πατριαρχείου Αλεξανδρείας και πάσης Αφρικής ιδρύθηκε το 1959 και η πνευματική δικαιοδοσία της εκτείνεται στα κράτη της Δυτικής Αφρικής, την Γκάνα, την Ακτή Ελεφαντόδοντος και το Μάλι.
Μετά το πέρας της Θείας Λειτουργίας, πραγματοποιήθηκε, σύμφωνα με την Τάξη του Πατριαρχείου Αλεξανδρείας, η Τελετή Ενθρονίσεως στην Επισκοπική Καθέδρα του Σεβασμ. κ. Δανιήλ, την οποία τέλεσε ο εκπρόσωπος της Α.Θ.Μ. του Πάπα και Πατριάρχου κ.κ. Θεοδώρου, Σεβασμ. Αξώμης κ. Πέτρος.
Παρευρέθησαν εκπρόσωποι Εκκλησιών και Ομολογιών της Γκάνας, ο Γ.Γ. του Χριστιανικού Συμβουλίου Εκκλησιών της χώρας, ο Γενικός Διευθυντής του Ορθόδοξου Χριστιανικού Ιεραποστολικού Κέντρου (OCMC) Πρωτοπρ. π. Μάρτιν Ritsi, πολιτικοί και φύλαρχοι της περιοχής.
Εκτός από τους Ορθοδόξους πιστούς Γκανέζους, συμμετείχαν Ορθόδοξοι Ελλαδίτες, Κύπριοι, Ρουμάνοι, Ρώσσοι, Λιβανέζοι και Σύριοι.
Ακολούθως ανεγνώσθη μήνυμα του Πατριάρχου προς τον Ιερό Κλήρο και τον Λαό της Μητροπόλεως Άκκρας.
Ο Σεβασμ. κ. Πέτρος συγκινημένος ευχαρίστησε το ποίμνιο της Μητροπόλεως το οποίο διακόνησε επί πενταετία, καλωσόρισε το νέο Μητροπολίτη και μετέφερε τις ευχές του Αλεξανδρινού Προκαθημένου για ευλογημένη παρά Κυρίου ποιμαντορία.
Στη συνέχεια, εκ μέρους του Κλήρου, ομίλησε ο Γενικός Αρχιερατικός Μεγ. Πρωτοπρ. π. Ιωσήφ Κουάμε.
Κλείνοντας την Τελετή, Σεβασμ. κ. Δανιήλ εκφώνησε τον Ενθρονιστήριο λόγο του και, αδεία του Αλεξανδρινού Προκαθημένου, χειροθέτησε σε Πρωτοπρεσβύτερο τον γηραιότερο (86 ετών) συνταξιούχο κληρικό της Μητροπόλεως π. Αναστάσιο, ο οποίος ανάλωσε ολόκληρη την ζωή του στην διακονία της Τοπικής Εκκλησίας.
Με το πέρας των εκδηλώσεων προσφέρθηκε γεύμα προς τους όλους τους προσκεκλημένους και παρευρισκόμενους, οι οποίοι ενθουσιασμένοι υποδέχθηκαν τον νέο πνευματικό τους πατέρα.
ENTHRONEMENT OF THE METROPOLITAN OF ACCRA
On Sunday, April 21, 2024, in the Cathedral of the Transfiguration of Christ, Accra, the Enthronement Ceremony of the new Metropolitan of Accra, Daniel, took place.
The Holy Archdiocese of Accra of the Patriarchate of Alexandria and All Africa, was founded in 1959 and its spiritual jurisdiction extends to the West African states of Ghana, Ivory Coast and Mali.
The Divine Liturgy, was presided over by His Eminence the Metropolitan of Constantia, Vasilios, (Church of Cyprus) with co-celebrants their Eminences, Metropolitans of Aksum Petros and Daniel of Accra and the Holy Clergy of the Metropolis of Accra.
After the end of the Divine Liturgy, according to the Order of the Patriarchate of Alexandria, the Enthronement Ceremony of H.E Daniel, took place in the Episcopal Cathedral it was officiated by H.E. Metropitan Petros of Axum, the representative of H.B the Pope and Patriarch Theodoros.
Representatives of Ghanaian Churches and Confessions attended, the General Secretary of the Christian Council of Churches of the country, the General Director of the Orthodox Christian Mission Center (OCMC) Protopresbyter Martin Ritsi, politicians and tribal leaders of the region.
In addition to the Orthodox faithful Ghanaians, Orthodox Greeks, Cypriots, Romanians, Russians, Lebanese and Syrians participated.
Then the Patriarch's message to the Holy Clergy and the People of the Metropolitan of Accra was read.
H.E. Petros, moved, thanked the flock of the Metropolis, which he ministered to for five years. He welcomed the new Metropolitan and conveyed the wishes of the Alexandrian Primate for a pastorate blessed by the Lord.
Then, on behalf of the Clergy, the Vicar General, the Great Protopresbyter FatherJoseph Kwame, addressed His Eminence.
Closing the Ceremony, H.E. Daniel delivered his enthronement speech and, with the permission of the Alexandrian Primate, elevated the oldest (86 years old) retired clergyman of the Metropolis, Fr. Anastasios, who spent his entire life in the ministry of the Local Church, to the rank of Protopresbyter.
At the end of the proceedings, a meal was offered to all the guests and attendees, who excitedly welcomed their new spiritual father.
