After the Service a celebratory lunch was held at the Orthodox Centre in Lansdowne to commemorate the Feast Day. These two Greek brothers who lived in the ninth century are particularly remembered for evangelising the Slavic people. But, by going out as missionaries to other nations, they also remind us that the Orthodox faith is not limited by the boundaries of language or ethnicity. By commemorating them, we therefore honour both what they achieved among the Slavs, and we are reminded that the Church is for all people in all places.
