On the morning of 13th August 2015, His Grace Panteleimon, Bishop of Congo-Brazzaville and Gabon, conducted in the outdoor baptistry of the Holy Church of St Dimitrios which is under construction in the city of Pointe-Noire, the baptisms of thirteen newly-enlightened brothers and sisters of all ages, from the Parish Community of St Fotini, in the Mpaka suburb of the city. This was preceded by many months of catechism by the hard working Parish priest Fr. Silouan Nkounkou.
Addressing the newly-enlightened Christians, His Grace gave a theological interpretation of the importance of the Sacrament of Holy Baptism and expressed the joy of the local Church on their enrolment into her, urging them all to become faithful, pious and upstanding members of the Church. He also forwarded the paternal prayers and blessings of the Venerable Primate of the Patriarchate of Alexandria and All Africa.
