Glorious News! Our New Team Has Our First Mission Date Planned.
On July 21st 2016, Brave Father Silouan will be flying to Kenya to offer assistance to the priests that we are supporting on ORTHODOXAFRICA.ORG by teaching informal classes about the Orthodox Life, Monasticism and the Orthodox Church around the world. Father Silouan is currently raising funds so that we can provide these growing Orthodox missions with proper liturgical supplies such as blessing crosses, chalices, icons, and trays. Father Silouan will visit Russia prior to flying to Kenya during which time he is hoping to be able to acquire these items at a lower cost so that any money that is donated can have it’s value maximized by lower purchase costs and by taking advantage of the current exchange rates in Russia.

Father is also planning on distributing whatever additional funds, are raised to help provide whatever is necessary for the orphanages that he will be visiting.
It is hoped that there will be several people who will be baptized and received into the Holy Orthodox Church during his visit.
We are also hoping to be able to send Father Silouan with small crosses and icons to be given to the many orphans who we are currently caring for, as our way of saying that even though many of them feel alone and abandoned now they are all a part of a much larger family, that is the Church and that even if they cant see us, they are loved and prayed for by people all over the world.
