PROGRESS OF THE WORK ON THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE PARISH CHURCH OF ST PHOTINI IN POINTE-NOIRE

PROGRESS OF THE WORK ON THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE PARISH CHURCH OF ST PHOTINI IN POINTE-NOIRE

On 23rd April 2017, His Grace Panteleimon, Bishop of Congo-Brazzaville and Gabon, attended the Divine Liturgy at the Holy Parish Church of St Photini in the Mpaka suburb of Pointe Noire which is under construction, where he preached the homily.
Following the Eucharistic Gathering he donated clothing to all the little children, followed by a lengthy meeting with the pious and active Chairman of the Parish Council, Mr.Michel Armand Massa, Member of the Diocesan Council of the local Church in Congo-Brazzaville, regarding the progress of the construction work.
Already, the windows have been fitted, as have the doors, the building and electrical installations have been completed and the preparation of the outer walls has begun for the painting of the Church, starting with the dome and the bell-tower (it lacks a bell and a hinged truck-wheel is being used temporarily).
The prayer and expectation of all the faithful is the coming forward of those Christians who will contribute to the extent of their financial capabilities, to the completion of the church to the Glory of God and the sewing of the Evangelical word on the African Equator.
