Τhrough the mercy of our Most Gracious God and the love of Greek and Congolese Orthodox Christian brothers and sisters, yet another container 12 metres in length is departing from Greece destined for the financial capital of Congo-Brazzaville, Pointe-Noire, where the See of the Holy Diocese of Congo-Brazzaville and Gabon is situated.
The container being sent to the African Equator through the initiative of the Holy Diocese, contains among other things pallets of large granite tiles for the completion of the floor o the St Dimitrios Cathedral in Pointe-Noire, which is under construction, as well as that of the Parish Church of St Fotini in Pointe Noire, clothing, shoes, electrical appliances, bedding, stationery and educational material and toys for the little children being cared for at the “St Efstathios” Orthodox Orphanage, tiles and hygiene products for the bathrooms of the same institution which are being completely renovated (it has been defined as the best social institution in the country by the Ministry of Social Affairs of Congo-Brazzaville), church appurtenances and bells for the Churches and many other necessary items for our suffering fellow Africans.
The gratitude of the local Church of Congo-Brazzaville to all who contributes to this effort is boundless.
