Orthodoxy in Action! Support St Irene’s Orthodox Mission Kenya organized by Natalie Burke

Orthodoxy in Action!
Dear Friends, thank you so much for your generous donations. The children at Saint Irene’s Orphanage in Kenya are doing well and had an opportunity to visit the playground again last Sunday after church. They are looking forward to Christmas and school holiday break.
Fr Constantinos made another pastoral visit to the family of 6 children, of whom two are disabled and presented the family with a wheelchair for the most disabled child who is unable to walk ...or even feed himself and some food items, from a donation made specifically to that family. He is now trying to raise some money to buy a set of Canadian Crutches for the other boy to help his mobility which cost approximately $60( the equivalent cost of feeding one of the orphans for two months).
Please consider making a small donation towards this orphanage for Christmas and help this campaign to achieve its target goal. Lump sum donations will enable Fr Constantinos to work towards greater sustainability in the future. Some of the longer term projects involve drilling for a well at St Irene’s so that the Mission can stop buying bottled water which is very expensive. The cost of the Well is approximately $6000.00 and although Fr. Constantinos has had some donations made specifically towards this project, there is still a long way to go.
A big dream of Fr. Constantinos is to buy the property that they are currently renting and renovate some of the modest dwellings. Little steps are being made towards this every time someone generously donates and shares of themselves. I am looking forward to making a transfer of these campaign funds into the Mission account for Christmas.
If unable to donate then please help by sharing as your friends may be interested to learn about Orthodoxy in Africa.
